Kevin And Don Respond To Being Self Loathing

Looking back at their journey from the Stonewall Democratic Club to Log Cabin Republicans, they claim it was one that was actually started by the democrats. After being told that marriage as not a priority on the agenda in 1995, they became disillusioned with the DEMS. For a decade they felt like they did not belong until they met the republicans of the Log Cabin Republican Club and discovered they too shared a dream of marriage equality. This blog is now a digital time capsule of their time as Republicans and moderated by a friend and supporter.

Help Elect Log Cabin Members TODAY
As a political organization, Log Cabin can do two things to help candidates: contribute our time or our money.

Two Log Cabin members have submitted their names to the voters in 2011: Bob Valentine and Scott Schmidt. Your actions today can make a difference in each of these races and help us show that Republicans, with the right message and record, can win in California.

Bob Valentine for Senate

Log Cabin Board Member Bob Valentine is running in the special election for State Senate District 28. The election takes place on February 15th--just eleven days from now.

This weekend will be critical for Bob's campaign.

If you are in the South Bay or Long Beach Areas, please sign up to volunteer for Bob's campaign this weekend. [CLICK HERE] If you cannot walk a precinct, then please make a contribution [HERE]to help Bob reach as many voters as possible in the next eleven days.

Scott Schmidt for West Hollywood City Council
Log Cabin LA President Scott Schmidt is running for West Hollywood City Council. The election is on March 8th--just 32 days away!

Scott has positioned himself as one of two challengers who have a shot at defeating an incumbent in this election, and will make Log Cabin proud as a member of the West Hollywood City Council.

Scott is canvassing West Hollywood this weekend and begins phone banking next week, so if you would like an excuse to knock on doors around West Hollywood or make some phone calls, send Scott an email at to get precinct walking materials or a call list.

You can also join Scott at one of two candidate forums on Wednesday, February 9 or Wednesday, February 16. Both will take place in the West Hollywood Park Auditorium and start at 7 PM.

Finally, if you have not already, please consider making a contribution of $50, $100 or $500 to Scott's campaign. Your support will make a difference!
